Page 2 of 2 The majority of fighters this evening showed strong ground fighting skills leading to several fights ending by submission due to arm- or leg bars often in the very first round. It also seemed to be a night loaded with beginner’s luck, since most of the debuting pro fighters left the ring as winners.
Photo by Alex Valetta Gilbert Burgos celebrated his pro debut with a win by unanimous decision against Jack “The Giant Killer” Murphy after three rounds of up and down action. Murphy was not able to persuade Burgos to join him on the floor for some ground action. Burgos in fact, answered Murphy’s request with powerful leg kicks delivered to the sitting fighter.

Chino Duran earned his victory against Chris “Peanut” Holder by T.K.O when the referee stopped the fight shortly into round two. James “Bones” Austin added another notch to his belt when he leg-choked Chera, who had no choice but to tap out in round two. Shamal McMillan used his home turf advantage against Mason Kris Mason from Iowa by delivering a dominant performance. The referee stopped the fight shortly into round one after Mason had been helplessly pinned against the fence by McMillian, who delivered a load powerful knee shots without meeting any resistance from Mason. Finally, the debuting Eddie Boza ended the show with a bang when he threw the RFC veteran, Chris Adams, high through the air and right onto his head. The crowd leapt to its feet in shock while the unconscious Adams was tended to by the event officials. Everyone inside the Sundome showed serious concern about Adam’s condition while the medics brought the gurney to the ring. But showing his fans what true warriors are made of, Adams suddenly rose like he had just woken from a slumber. The final applause delivered by the crowd was meant for both men leaving the ring: the winner, Boza and the survivor, Adams.
